Many students know they want to pursue higher education, but they feel stuck or stressed trying to figure out exactly what to study. They want to move forward with direction and purpose, but the pressure to have "all the answers" right now can feel overwhelming.

It’s okay not to have a 10-year plan today.

My goal isn't to force a lifelong decision; it’s to help your student learn enough about themselves right now to make their next career decision with confidence. To guide this journey, I use my specialized workbook, Follow the Sunrise.

I encourage all students to purchase Follow the Sunrise as a companion tool for our sessions. While the workbook provides a clear, actionable curriculum for finding career direction, our career advising sessions provide the individualized support needed to bring that curriculum to life. I help your student dive deeper into the exercises, tailoring the experience to their specific personality and goals.

Together, we focus on:

  Explore the ideas and assumptions students may have about themselves and the World of Work that might be holding them back from making career decisions.

• Building Career Identity: Helping students move beyond just "picking a job" to understanding who they are as a future professional.

• Researching with Confidence: Learn tips for exploring college programs, majors and areas of work

• Crafting a Career Identity Statement: We craft a personal statement that serves as a navigational guide, helping your student stay on track and make confident choices throughout college and beyond.

By investing in this process now, your student can start their college journey feeling motivated and sure of their next steps—finding the way they want to move forward.

My Follow the Sunrise approach is created for high school juniors and seniors, as well as students in their first and second year of college.

Appointments can be fully virtual or in-person (if local to Tallahassee) for students.

During our call, we will briefly cover:

• Your Student’s Goals: What is your student's goal for career advising? What would they most like to get out of the experience? 

• My Process: How I help students find career direction using my Follow the Sunrise approach. 

• Compatibility: Ensuring my advising style aligns with your student’s personality and your family's goals.

• Working Together: Walking through technical details of working together, including my fee structure, cancellation policy, and the specific scope of services I provide. We will also review my career advising services agreements: please note that for students under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must participate in the discovery call.

The 15 minute Discovery Call is free. After choosing to work with me, each 45 minute career advising session is $75. Students will also be highly encouraged to own and utilize my workbook, as this will guide the activities and homework for the career advising sessions.
